Chinelo Uzoamaka Eze

Graduate Researcher

Chinelo Uzoamaka Eze is a Nutritionist and Public Health Researcher with a strong academic foundation in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Her research and professional work center on sustainable food systems, maternal and infant nutrition, and food security in low-income communities. She has held diverse roles including Nutrition Program Officer at the Slow Food Youth Network and Graduate Researcher at the No Hunger Food Bank, where she led field research, community training, and advocacy on food banking, home gardening, and nutrition security. Chinelo also contributed to national studies like the Nigeria Sodium Study at the University of Abuja's Cardiovascular Research Unit, where she supervised data collection and analysis using advanced dietary assessment tools. Her scholarly contributions include multiple peer-reviewed publications on topics ranging from breastfeeding support policies to food redistribution strategies and trends in malnutrition. She has presented her work at major conferences across Africa. She is a recipient of travel and research fellowships from the Agriculture, Nutrition and Health Academy and the African Nutrition Society. As a proactive educator and volunteer, she has mentored undergraduate researchers and served as a nutrition educator for grassroots communities, combining evidence-based practice with hands-on outreach. Chinelo is a member of several professional bodies, including the World Public Health Nutrition Association and the Nutrition Society of Nigeria.
